The Oluwo in Council has commended Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke of Osun State for halting the infraction and proliferation of Chieftaincy consenting authorities in Iwoland comprising Iwo, Ayedire and Ola Oluwa Local Governments.

The Oluwo in council made the commendation in a statement made by its spokesperson, Aremo Adelani Akanbi in Osogbo on Friday.

He argued that “For restoring the traditional sanctity of the Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, HIM Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, the Governor has distinguished himself an “Omoluabi” and an hero whose respect for culture and traditions will be unfaltering ”

“The directive of the governor as a traditional sanctity and purification that would lubricate the cohesive unity and place the institution under one umbrella of the Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, HIM Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi.”

He stressed further that the pronouncement would address unjust land grabbing and lording by few monarchs in the area.

“The halting of the traditional infraction will also address many ills and evils perpetrated by few Obas lording and grabbing their subjects’ land unjustly”.

“Consenting and prescribing authorities are the exclusive assets of Oluwo for organized management of traditional affairs of Iwoland. We are happy normalcy has returned,” he added.
