BREAKING: Tinubu agrees to pay N70,000 as new minimum wage

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has agreed to implement a new minimum wage of N70,000.

This was announced by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, following a meeting between government officials and organised labour held Thursday, 18th July 2024.

The meeting, attended by prominent Labour leaders, including Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) President Joe Ajaero and Trade Union Congress (TUC) President Festus Osifo, commenced at 2:15 PM with the arrival of the labour delegation in a white 32-seater Coaster bus, which headed straight to the President’s first-floor office for discussions.
