EPL: “Major Disaster” – Sam Allardyce Criticizes Manchester United for Selling Midfielder

Former Everton manager Sam Allardyce has warned that selling midfielder Scott McTominay would be a “big disaster” for Manchester United.

McTominay has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer, with several Premier League clubs reportedly interested in him.

Fulham have shown interest in the Scotland international, while Tottenham Hotspur and Galatasaray are also potential suitors.

However, Allardyce believes that Manchester United should keep the 27-year-old, noting his recent development as a goal scorer.

Speaking on the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast, Allardyce said, “Now that Erik ten Hag is settled, it will be interesting to see if he can take Manchester United where they need to go. But it all depends on whether the players are on board with him.”

He added, “If Manchester United finish first or second, it will surprise many, but that requires unity, which seems to have been lost. Letting Scott McTominay go would be a big disaster for the club. He’s become a goal scorer for both Scotland and United.”
