Senator Ipinsagba donates fertilizers to Ondo farmers

At 6,000 farmers from Ondo North senatorial district of the state, benefited from the distribution of fertilizers facilitated by the Senator representing the six local government areas in the district, Senator Jide Ipinsagba.

Speaking during the distribution, Ipinsagba said the initiative was part of efforts to encourage food security and to enhance food production in the state, assuring that adequate attention will be given to agricultural development.

Ipinsagba who was represented by the Elewe of Okela, Ikare-Akoko, High Chief Ojo Ademuwagun, said the fertilizer distribution was part of the lawmaker’s promise to ensure food production in Ondo North Senatorial District.

The lawmaker who expressed his commitment to the development of the agricultural sector in the area said this will go a long way to support farmers towards food security and economic growth.

According to him, the initiative aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on agricultural development, saying this is a key component of the nation’s economic growth.

He promised to give adequate attention to the needs of the people of the Senatorial District in terms of dividends of democracy, emphasising that every age grade, and gender in the senatorial district would be given priority support.

While urging the people to allow President Tinubu to implement its renewed hope agenda also solicits support for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s second-term ambition.

Some of the benefiting farmers, Chief Clement Adeloye from Eti-Oro, Akoko South-West, Messrs Foluso Afolabi from Owo local government, and Oluwafemi Agbogun expressed their gratitude over the unprecedented gesture and promised to make judicious use of the fertilizer.
