Forum urges SDP’s Ajaka to work with Ododo

The Kogi Central Think Tank Forum in Lokoja has urged Alhaji Yakubu Muritala Ajaka, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate, to move past the various Supreme Court rulings against him and collaborate with Governor Alhaji Ahmed Ododo to advance Kogi State.

In a joint statement issued on Thursday by the Forum’s Chairman, Dr. Haroun Opotu Yussuff, and Secretary, Alhaji Mohammed Baba Sadiq, the forum highlighted the importance of unity and collective effort following its monthly meeting.

The forum acknowledged Governor Ododo’s swift response in strongly condemning the recent altercation involving Alhaji Muri Ajaka, the SDP candidate. This, they said, demonstrates the governor’s commitment to peace and inclusivity within the APC government in Kogi State.

The statement reads, “The Forum extends its congratulations to His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, on his well-deserved victory, affirmed by the Supreme Court in Abuja, following last year’s gubernatorial elections in Kogi State. This victory allows him to focus on serving the people of Kogi State without further distractions.”

They further noted, “His Excellency commenced his governance of Kogi State with remarkable progress immediately after the November 2023 elections, signaling that the much-needed dividends of democracy can now be realized, especially with the political landscape clarified by the Supreme Court’s ruling.”
