Victor Osimhen has agreed to join Galatasaray but has requested a break clause be included in the deal, allowing him to potentially leave in January.

Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has agreed to join 24-time Turkish champions Galatasaray on a season-long loan, with the final details of the deal now being finalized.

The reigning Süper Lig champions approached Napoli earlier today about the possibility of loaning the tall striker, and the Italian club has agreed to the proposal.

However, Osimhen’s consent was necessary to finalize the deal, and while he has agreed, the Nigerian forward is requesting certain clauses be added to the contract.

He has asked for a break clause to be included, which would allow him to move to a top club if an opportunity arises in January. Additionally, he wants Napoli to lower his asking price from €130m to €75m.

Galatasaray have arranged a flight to bring Osimhen to Istanbul tonight to finalize the deal quickly, even though the Turkish transfer window remains open until next week.

Galatasaray, aiming to retain their Süper Lig title for a third consecutive season, have made significant squad additions this summer. They already have one of the league’s top finishers, Mauro Icardi, who was last season’s top scorer. Adding Osimhen, whom they intend to play alongside Icardi, could further strengthen their team.
