The residents made this commitment on Tuesday during Ajayi’s condolence visit to the palace of the Owa of Idanre, Oba Fredrick Aroloye, who passed away last month.

Speaking on behalf of the community, PDP chairman in Idanre, Adekunle Akinlalu, emphasized that the November 16th election holds special significance for Idanre, as the town has never had a governor or deputy governor since the state’s creation.

He said, “The election is about Idanre’s agenda and no other political parties here will win any vote here. We have moved around the town, you can see for yourself that dance is for PDP.

“We are going to beat other parties with a wide margin that they will not be able to meet. We appreciate you for picking our son as your deputy governorship candidate.

“We will show our appreciation through our vote come the November 16th governorship election. We will not disappoint you. We are loyal people in danger”

While inaugurating the Local Government Campaign Council, the chairman of the PDP Campaign Council in the state, Olorogun Eddy Olafeso, urged the committee members to work diligently to ensure they secure victory for the PDP in the local government.

Olafeso said, ” I can see all your faces now. Your faces are shining. You are not among those that are suffering. Those in APC are the ones suffering. This has shown me that the local government will become the first local government to deliver our candidate in the poll.

“This should be a UNESCO site. May God forgive the APC government. I’d not want to forgive them. Show them that you are angry with your vote. ”

Addressing the gathering, the deputy governorship candidate, Hon. Festus Akingbaso, urged the people to eschew any forms of violence before, during, and after the election.

Akingbaso, a member representing the Idanre/Ifedore federal constituency in the National Assembly, said “APC is threatening us that we are not as financially buoyant as them, but we have God. When they give you money, take their money and vote for PDP.

“Please go from house to house. Don’t fight with anybody. Idanre has never been a deputy governor before now.

“This is the first time. We will do it. We will face them and we will win them. Appeal to our youths not to fight them. We need to vote. ”

The candidate of the party,  Ajayi, appreciated the residents and party leaders for the rousing welcome, urged them to ensure that they deliver for the party come November 16th governorship election.

He said “We are not here to campaign yet. We are here to greet the people over the demise of our late king.

” No reasonable person should contemplate voting for APC with the level of hardship unleashed on Nigerians.

“You have shown that you love us and our party, kindly ensure that you vote and stay with your vote during the poll.”
