Edo election: APC Reps Caucus donates N200m to support Okpebholo

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Caucus in the House of Representatives has pledged unwavering support for Senator Monday Okpebholo and Hon. Dennis Idahosa, the party’s candidates in the upcoming Edo governorship election.

Both Senator Okpebholo and Hon. Idahosa are currently serving in the 10th National Assembly.

In a strong demonstration of solidarity and loyalty to the party, the APC Reps Caucus contributed ₦200 million to the party’s campaign for the September 21 governorship election.

According to a statement issued by the Chairman of the APC Reps’ Fundraising Committee for the Edo Governorship Election, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, the donation was made by individual members of the APC in the 10th House of Representatives.

The Caucus expressed its determination to leave no stone unturned in ensuring the party’s victory in Edo State, emphasizing their commitment to supporting Senator Okpebholo and Hon. Idahosa—esteemed colleagues who have consistently demonstrated capacity and competence in public service.

The donation cheque was presented by the Leader of the House, Professor Julius Ihonvbere, in the presence of Dr. Yahaya Danzaria, Clerk of the House of Representatives; Hon. Billy Osawaru; and Professor Jake Dan-Azumi, Chief of Staff to the Speaker.
