Arsenal legend Ian Wright has predicted the outcome of this weekend’s Premier League clash between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
United will host Spurs at Old Trafford on Sunday, with both teams aiming to improve their positions in the league after an inconsistent start. Both clubs currently sit on seven points from five games, placing United in 11th and Spurs in 10th.
Tottenham recently came from behind to defeat Brentford 3-1 in their last league game and secured a 3-0 victory over Qarabag in the Europa League on Thursday. Meanwhile, Manchester United played to a 1-1 draw against FC Twente in the UEFA Europa League, following a goalless draw with Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
Despite Tottenham’s recent form, Wright believes Erik ten Hag’s side will secure a 2-1 victory at Old Trafford. Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, he said, “I think United will beat them. Let’s go 2-1.”
