Governor Ademola Adeleke has congratulated the former governor of the state, Mr Gboyega Oyetola who is the current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy on his 69th birthday.
Adeleke in a statement he personally signed on Friday, described the advancing age of the minister as divine grace and prayed to God to grant the minister more blessed years on earth.
“It is my pleasure to congratulate my dear big brother on the occasion of his birthday. I thank God for granting my predecessor another blessed year.
“On behalf of the people and government of Osun state, I convey our heartfelt good wishes. Wherever my brother is, he should please enjoy his day”, Governor Adeleke noted in the statement.
Meanwhile, the 69th birthday anniversary of the Minister was on Friday celebrated at the Ileri-Oluwa House in Ogo-Oluwa of Osogbo amidst pleasantries and happiness.
The ex-governor of Osun state who was heroically described as a man of letter and a harbinger of simplicity was celebrated by his family, friends, his APC party faithful as well, as other well-wishers who visited the state from far and near to grace the occasion.
At the event, prayers and encomiums were showered on the celebrant by those in attendance and they sought divine protections and longevity of life for him and members of his family from the God Almighty, the giver of life and alpha and Omega of all creatures on the surface of Earth.
Speaking at the gathering, the immediate past Speaker of the State House Of Assembly, Mr Timothy Owoeye, described Oyetola as a politician whose political doctrinal principles should be embraced by all and sundry especially, the young breed politicians.
In his response, Oyetola appreciated all his well-wishers and expressed happiness to his creator who preserved his life till the present time.
He further thanked them for the gesture, stressing that prayers are the foundations of any good endeavour in life.
