Sylva’s disqualification: APC will triumph in Bayelsa — Gov Inuwa

In a remarkable show of leadership and unity of purpose,  Gombe Governor and Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Campaign Council for the Bayelsa Governorship Election, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, earlier Saturday, led a high-powered team to a strategic engagement with Bayelsa APC stakeholders in Yenagoa.

The visit of Governor Inuwa Yahaya and the APC leadership was aimed at igniting the spirit of party members, allaying their concerns regarding the recent court judgment which barred the party’s Governorship candidate,  Timipre Sylva from contesting the November 11 election.

Recall that the flag-off of the APC campaign was originally scheduled for today but was postponed by the National leadership of the party.

However, Governor Inuwa Yahaya,  who is spearheading the APC campaign in Bayelsa State, met with critical stakeholders in Yenagoa and left the supporters with encouraging and uplifting words.

He urged them to stand firm, assuring them of the party’s unwavering support as they continue their journey toward a triumphant electoral victory on November 11.

With confidence, he declared, “We’ll emerge stronger from this temporary legal setback. Don’t slow down on the campaigns. Take the message to the nooks,  crannies and the creeks. We are here to show solidarity with you and to assure you that we are resolute in our commitment to deliver Sylva.”

He stressed, “The President is with you in this journey,  the national leadership of the party is with you, and all of us stand by you in this fight to deliver APC and Timipre Sylva. We will triumph in Bayelsa on the 11th of November by the grace of God “.

The APC Deputy National Chairman, South, Chief Emma Eneukwu, who represented the National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, re-emphasised the party’s unwavering commitment to securing victory in Bayelsa.

“We will not rest until victory is achieved. Bayelsa is a low-hanging fruit ripe for the taking, and we will pluck it with ease. We will stand with you throughout this struggle.  Continue with the campaigns and don’t let the antics of the PDP discourage you or hinder your resolve.”

Also speaking, the Vice National Chairman, South-South, Chief Victor Giadom, applauded Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s inspirational leadership, saying he is a man with remarkable track record and astute political acumen.

He described the Gombe Governor as a performer and a seasoned leader in politics and governance who has the wherewithal to deliver on the task.

Victor Giadon emphasised, “We deeply appreciate you, Your Excellency.  You have shown character and exemplary leadership in this assignment. We commend your courage, and we thank you for leading the way”.

He added, “South-South region holds immense potential, and visionary leadership is essential. So I urge our party members not to  be disheartened by the high court judgment; this is just a court of first instance.”

“Just carry on with the campaigns, we’ll certainly emerge victorious,” as contained in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, DG ( Press Affairs) Government House, Gombe.
