Veteran Nollywood actor, John Ikechukwu Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has solicited financial support for a life-threatening illness he is battling with.
The legendary actor, who recently celebrated his birthday in the hospital, made the plea in a video posted on his Instagram account on Wednesday.
The actor has been battling life threatening illness for some time.
However, things seem to have worsened for the comic actor, as he is now at risk of having his leg amputated.
Calling on Nigerians for prayers and financial assistance, he revealed that he has been unwell for weeks.
He also shared details of his bank account, emphasizing that he doesn’t want his legs to be amputated.
He said, “I have been down for so many weeks, all I’m hoping for is your prayers and assistance. I’ve been in the hospital, as I speak to you, I’m still lying down in the hospital. The medical director says in case his new idea didn’t work, the best idea is to cut off my leg, just see me, if they cut off my leg where will I go to? Please be on prayers for me, talk to God Almighty, I don’t want my leg to be cut off. God bless you.”
