The Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Kogi State Chapter, congratulates Dr Muyi Aina on his appointment as the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a statement released on Saturday by the Kogi State NMA’s SOC under the leadership of Dr Olusola Baoku, Dr Aina’s appointment is described as well-deserved, given his experience and immense contributions to the development of the health sector in Nigeria.

According to Dr. Baoku, this appointment is unique and attests to Dr. Aina’s exceptional qualifications and capabilities.

Dr Aina is recognised not only in Nigeria but also worldwide as one of the best in his field.

The statement reads in part, “At last, a Kogi indigene is to head the National Primary Health Care Development Agency.

This is a welcome development, and we are delighted as a professional body in the health sector. Kogi state doctors are very proud of your previous achievements in the public health sector, both at home and abroad.

Now that you are entrusted with greater responsibility, we have no doubt that you are the best-suited for the job at this time, and your choice is that of a round peg in a round hole.

With this appointment, we are certain that the future of Nigeria’s primary health care delivery is in highly capable hands. We wish you all the very best, sir.”
