Kogi 2023: AA’s candidate, Braimoh, promises to regenerate state’s economy

Ahead of the Kogi State Governorship Election on November 11th, Olayinka Braimoh, the candidate of the Action Alliance (AA), has promised to regenerate and reposition the state for a steady and sustainable economy if elected.

Braimoh made this promise during his campaign in Adogo, Ajaokuta LGA of the state.

He stated that his primary and most important agenda is to change the trajectory of the state by replacing poverty with prosperity. He emphasized that this can only be achieved if the people align with the Action Alliance programs and policies.

Braimoh expressed his concern about the growing levels of poverty and unemployment in the state, despite its abundant resources and intellectual capacity.

The governorship hopeful pledged to impact the lives of the people through physical, social, and economic services aimed at changing the negative narrative that has plagued the state since its creation.

The AA candidate also committed to providing quality and affordable education for every child in the state, asserting that an educated and empowered society can have a positive impact on many lives and enhance the quality of infrastructure.

Braimoh promised to promote and develop the agricultural sector by tapping into opportunities for farmers and creating necessary markets for their produce, which will, in turn, boost the state’s economy.

Dissatisfied with the unfulfilled promises of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Braimoh pledged to revive the state’s economy by tapping into the potential of the tourism sector to create more wealth for the people.

He expressed his concern about the state’s struggling economy and the failure of successive administrations to invest in infrastructure and maintain growth.

Braimoh stated that his administration would export and exchange services for money to stimulate cash flow in the economy. He also promised to collaborate with technical experts to change the state’s economic trajectory.

The governorship candidate pledged to provide practical solutions to the numerous challenges hindering the growth and development of the state, if given the opportunity on November 11.

Welcoming the candidate in Lokoja, a representative of the Market Women Leader, Malama Zainab Ladidi Ibrahim, expressed their approval of the party’s action plans for women and youths and pledged their massive support.

In Adogo, party supporters and enthusiasts who gathered at the Party Secretariat promised to work diligently for the party’s candidate’s victory.

The people of Geregu and its surroundings turned out in large numbers to welcome the party’s candidate and pledged to conduct door-to-door campaigns to secure more support and ensure his victory.

At the palace of the Ehtu of Elaite in Ajaokuta LGA, Braimoh received a warm welcome from a jubilant crowd and received the royal blessing from HRH. Alhaji Ahmed Aminu Edogu.

When Braimoh stopped at the palace for the royal blessing, he explained that he was entering the governorship race to change the state’s trajectory and bring about a paradigm shift that would bring smiles to the people.

He emphasized his plans to develop the tourism sector to boost the state’s economy and attract funds.

While addressing the thousands of defectors at various meetings, the party’s flagbearer promised to improve their standard of living, provide job opportunities that would create wealth, and equitably distribute this wealth across the state. He advised them against selling their votes for trivial amounts, promising to distribute wealth evenly throughout the state.
