Allow Gbajabiamila focus on his job, reps member, Makinde cautions detractors

A member of the House of Representatives, Dr Abiola Makinde, has warned some individuals involved in a propaganda campaign designed to divert the attention of the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.

The federal lawmaker urged them to cease their efforts and allow Gbajabiamila to concentrate on his role as the Chief of Staff to the President.

Makinde, who represents Ondo East/West in the green chamber of the National Assembly in a statement made available to journalists on Monday noted that Gbajabiamila is highly deserving of his role as the Chief of Staff to the President adding that his experience in serving the country in the past over two decades is a testament to his steadfastness and commitment to the Nigerian project.

According to Makinde, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Human Rights: “As a lawmaker who served under him in the ninth assembly, I can attest to his humility and leadership qualities without question.

“These same leadership qualities are what have not only endeared Nigerians to Rt. Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, they have also ensured his steady ascendancy and accelerated promotion in politics. He is a morally upright man who has mentored a lot of people, myself included.

“I enjoin detractors to stay away from propaganda as the season for campaign is over and allow the former speaker focus on delivering the renewed hope mandate of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Nigerians who are yearning for it,” he said.
