Gbajabiamila: We are vindicated — Group

The Social Political Forum for Leadership and Thoughts also known as the G-50, whose members are drawn from the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th National Assembly has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for passing a vote of confidence on his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, amidst smear campaign of innuendos against the former Speaker insisting that President Tinubu’s stance means that the group has been vindicated.

The group had recently described as baseless and unfounded news story circulating on social media alleging that  Gbajabiamila was involved in corrupt practices and bribery during the nomination and appointment of Ministers and Board Members by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

A statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja and signed by the G-50 convener, Hon Ibrahim Shehu Gusau, described the President as a man of wisdom whose sense of comprehension and ability to decipher falsehood stands him out as a true leader.

“Mr President’s sense of comprehension and ability to decipher falsehood makes him a man of wisdom. This stands him out as a true leader and thus, Nigerians should trust President Tinubu’s judgement in decision making.

“We are confident that the choice of his Chief of Staff, whose leadership qualities date back to the 7th House when he was the Minority Leader is a pointer to Mr President’s ability to choose the best of the best for any given assignment.”The statement reads.

Nigerian Tribune recalls that President Tinubu had on Monday during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting held at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa said he has absolute confidence in the integrity of his Chief of Staff just as he warned those championing campaign of calumny and against his Gbajabiamila to stop it.
