JUST IN: Senate swears in Natasha as Kogi Central Senator

New Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan assumed her seat on Thursday in the Red Chamber.

President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, supervised the oath of office administered on her by the Clerk of the Senate, Mr. Chinedu Akubueze.
President of the Senate later handed over to her, a copy of the Senate Standing Rules.

The Court of Appeal in Abuja had on Tuesday, October 31, declared Natasha Akpoti-Uduagan of the Peoples Democratic Party as the duly elected candidate for the Kogi Central Senatorial Election held last February.

The three-member panel, in a judgment, upheld the judgment of the state’s election tribunal and dismissed the appeal filed by Sen. Abubakar Ohere of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
