CPI has closely followed the Senator’s political career, including her gubernatorial ambition in 2019. We were one of the organizations that campaigned against Stop Violence Against Women In Politics (Stop VAWIP) in Kogi State. The aftermath of the 2019 election was what pushed us to campaign for the domestication of the VAPP Law. Now that the VAPP has been passed into law, we will continue to work to ensure its effective implementation in the state.”
