EIPA inducts 35 notable Nigerians to promote peace

The Ecolerite Institute for Peace Advancement (EIPA) inductes 35 notable Nigerians as fellows of the institute in Ibadan the Oyo State capital to promote peace in Nigeria.

The event which took place at the University of Ibadan Conference Center, University of Ibadan, Ibadan also witnessed the decoration of Honorary Doctorate Degrees in different fields by Prowess University, Delaware, USA.

The Ecolerite Institute for Peace Advancement is a notable Institute that is passionate about fostering long-lasting peace and promoting conflict prevention and resolution strategies in our environment, Organisations and industrial related establishments.

Notable Nigerians who were awarded honorary doctorate by Prowess University and inducted as fellows of Ecolerite Institute of Peace Advancement include a finance expert, Dr. Bashorun Olanrewaju; a life coach and real estate mogul, Dr. Agbotaen Adesuwa Evelyn; an insurance expert, Dr. Ijeoma Rita Obu; an oil and gas expert , Dr Catherine Sanni-Osharode; a real estate and sales strategist, Dr. Yusuf Ayomide Shosan; and educationist and founder of Apex Schools, Ile-Ife, Dr Dennis Imafidon; Chief Ernest Ugo, Dr. Sherifat Akintunde, Dr. Titilope Doyinsola Kuku-Oke, Dr. Adekunle Akintola, Dr. Afolabi Adekunle White, Dr. Folashade Elizabeth, and Dr. Daniels Olugbenga Abubakar.

Speaking with journalists at the event, the President of Ecolerite Institute for Peace Advancement, Dr Kazeem Akande noted that the Awardees and inducted fellows were carefully selected based on their academic and career achievements.

He further added that the awardees were also selected for their impact in rendering humanitarian services and fostering peace in their community.

Akande who is also the southwest coordinators for Prowess University, Delaware, USA.

however, charged all awardees to continue to be peace ambassadors and foster peace in their community.

The event was well attended by notable personalities in the academic environment.including The African Representative of Prowess University, Professor Eze Nwuaba who was represented by a senior Lecturer, Department of Management Sciences , Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta , FUNAAB , Dr. Olusegun Oyedele, who delivered the goodwill message of the University.

Also present were the Registrar, Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan, Dr. Abass Abimbade, the Head of Department, Accounting Department, Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, FUNAAB, Dr. Oyefemi Oworu, the guest speaker, Dr. Olubodun Olayiwola, Engr. (Dr.) A.O Atere, and Engr. (Dr.) B.O Afolabi of Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan.

A recipient of the honorary doctorate and fellow, Dennis Imafidon noted that the award is a recognition of all awardees’ efforts in creating a positive change in their society.

He however promised to continue with his good deed and as well champion a cause that will promote peace and better our society.

Also Speaking at the event, The Registrar of the Ecolerite Institute for Peace Advancement, Dr. omotayo Adegunju congratulates the recipients of the honour while stressing the need for peace in our society.

Dr. Adegunju who is also the southwest coordinators for Prowess University, Delaware, USA.noted that the significance of the ceremony is to appreciate and celebrate individuals who have taken actions to prevent conflict and build international and communal peace.

He however urged awardees not to relent in their efforts and continue to be enablers of peace and prosperity.

Others who were also inducted as fellows of the institute are Olaleye Gbolahan, Farayola Hammed, Ajibade Oluwatosin, Olubodun Ayomide (NIPSS alumnus), Olawale Ogunbusola, Adeniyi Adeoti, Gbenga Oyetola, Oyetayo Oladimeji, Fawole Israel (NIPSS alumnus), AdeniranOludare, Oyolola Rasheed, Amb.Afolabi Olayemi, Amb.Wale Ayilara, Amb. Oluwaseyi Isaac, Oni Abayomi, Dr. Kenechukwu Kingsley, Mr Fatokun Babatunde, and Adedokun Babatunde.
