Appeal Court verdict, victory for Benue people — Gov Alia

Benue Governor, Hyacinth Alia has described the judgement of the Appeal Court which upheld his victory at the March 18 governorship election as victory for Benue people.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Kula Tersoo stated this during the press conference held in Makurdi on Monday.

He described his victory at the appellate court as victory for people of the state just as he called on the opposition to join hands with him to develop the State.

According to him, “The victory at the appeal court today was a victory for Benue, people, my appeal to the opponent is that they should come back to join hands with me to build a new Benue”.

He acknowledged the legal option the opposition party took which he described as its constitutional rights but admonished the PDP to work with him so as to restore the glory of the State.
