In continuation of his expansion, upgrading and development of Bauchi township as a befitting state capital, the Bauchi State Executive Council has approved the construction of Two flyovers in the metropolis.
The flyovers will be constructed at Wunti and Central Market roundabouts in order to decongest traffic and ensure the free flow of vehicles in the affected areas of the metropolis.
Also, the SEC approved further construction of 200 kilometres of road projects across the 20 local government areas of the State in order to open up the hinterland and allow for easy transportation of farm produce to the markets.
Recall that the administration has in the last four years, spent a total sum of N100 billion on road projects across the state with a focus on opening up the rural areas.
The Governor had during the State Executive Council meeting announced the approval for the construction of the 200 kilometers of road projects across the 20 local government areas in order to address the poor road network facing the people.
While Coordinating a Media briefing after the SEC meeting, the Commissioner of Information and Communications, Comrade Usman Danturaki, who led other Commissioners and the Head of State Civil Service said that the gesture was part of the Governor’s ongoing efforts to address the challenges facing people in the areas of infrastructure.
On his own, the State Head of the Civil Service, Yahuza Adamu Haruna, said that the Council discussed extensively the recent retreat held at the Bauchi Hajj camp, as well as the refresher training that was just completed for Permanent Secretaries and heads of MDAs on salary administration and management in the state.
He said that the salary management issues and complaints of the system will end very soon, and asked civil servants and retirees to continue to support the administration.
