EFCC releases ex-power Minister Agunloye charged with alleged $6 billion fraud on bail

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) granted bail to Olu Agunloye, the former Minister of State for Power, just one week after his initial detention.

Dele Oyewale, the spokesman for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), informed Channels Television that Agunloye was released on Wednesday.

The EFCC recently announced Agulonye as wanted in connection to an alleged $6 billion fraud linked to the contentious Mambilla hydropower project.

The anti-corruption agency prompted anyone with valuable information about his location to reach out. In a prior encounter in September, the former minister had been interviewed by the EFCC regarding the identical issue.
