The lawmaker representing Egbeda/Ona-Ara at the House of Representatives, Hon Akin Alabi, has donated a sound-proof generator to the palace of the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Lekan Balogun.
While delivering the generator on Saturday, Alabi promised to continue to contribute to improving the welfare of the palace and the rest of Ibadan, particularly his constituency.
In his message at the traditional ruler’s palace, Alabi said: “Ibadan is the ancestral home and the Olubadan reigns supreme. It is important for all sons and daughters of Ibadan not to only respect the throne but also to contribute towards the success of Olubadan.
“I visited Olubadan a lot of times and realised a need and he has provided the bridge for that need.
“The Olubadan will live long in good health and it is important that those days are lived well and I will always contribute and donate to improve the welfare in the palace and everywhere in Ibadan most especially Egbeda/Ona Ara.”
The generator was received by the Olubadan, palace chiefs and former senator representing Oyo South, Senator Kola Balogun.
