Police confirm abduction of businessman in Sokoto

The Nigerian Police Force, Sokoto State command has confirmed the abduction of one business man, Paul Ndubuisi, in Tambuwal local government area of the state.

Speaking while confirming the abduction, the spokesman of the command, ASP Ahmed Rufa’i, said the victim was abducted by the suspected gunmen after shooting into the air sporadically.

He however assured that the state commissioner of police, CP Ali Kaigama, has ordered a full scale investigation into the mater, saying the command is on top of the situation.

Meanwhile, a source who spoke with our correspondent on the incidence about the abduction said, “Mr Paul Ndubisi – Okula, an Igbo business man, accompanying his father, was abducted by unknown gunmen on Saturday evening (27/01/202) around 8pm in Tambuwal, Sokoto, in his shop. 

“They went to abduct the father – Papa Okula, but when they could not see him, went away his son”.

The source however appealed to the government to take security of lives and property more serious, saying more citizens are falling victims on daily basis.
