Primate Ayodele to Tinubu: Reduce foreign trips, focus on your health

The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has warned President Bola Tinubu to reduce his trips and seek the face of God concerning his health.

In a statement signed Wednesday by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele explained that the president has so much burden on himself and that there is still so much to do for the country’s economic stability.

He urged Nigerians to pray for the success of the present government and the president.

‘’Nigerians should pray for the government and President Tinubu’s good health so he will be able to do all that is needful. The president is carrying so much; he needs prayers to be sustained. ‘’

‘’The president should also reduce his trips, he needs to seek the face of God and pray for his health because there is still so much to do for the country.’’

The cleric who has been speaking about the Nigerian economy made it known that he doesn’t see any hope yet except the government listens to useful advice.

He revealed that the prices of commodities will still skyrocket in a few weeks unless the government does the needful.

‘’The economy isn’t going to get better and things will continue to be costly until the government finds a lasting solution and listens to useful advice. Local rice will be sold for N65,000, A carton of Indomie will sell for N15,000, Bread of N500 will become N1,700. The economy team should include the right people and not those that are there presently. If we are not careful, we will keep fighting and struggling to control dollar till the end of this administration.’’

Primate Ayodele also advised the government not to tackle the economic crisis from the aspect of dollar exchange rate but to look into the nation’s mineral resources to restructure the economy.

He also identified the activities of terrorists as one of the reasons for economic hardship while reiterating his suggestion that capital punishment should be awarded to anyone arrested.

‘’Battling our economy angle is not the best thing to do, we have mineral resources in this country, can’t we make use of them? We need a restructuring of our economy whereby every state will manage its resources for the economy to stabilize. The country can make money from so many resources. We have resources in states like Taraba, Zamfara, Borno, Kogi, and others. There is a lot the president can do to stabilise the economy.

‘’Insecurity caused by terrorists and killer herdsmen is one of the reasons for the hardship. Like I said before, capital punishment should be given to any terrorist caught, our service chiefs are trying but some individuals intervene even when they arrest these terrorists, let them kill any terrorist arrested without detention if we want our economy to be better.

‘’The Nigerian army can fight terrorists, give them all they need and you will see that when we have enough power supply, reduced activities of terrorists, there will be plenty for us to eat.’’
