Kano state Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has warned the newly sworn-in interim caretaker committee for the 44 local government areas of the state that there would be close vigilance on them and the government would not hesitate to invoke sanction on anyone found wanting.
This was just as he added that their performance will determine whether their tenure will be renewed or otherwise.
Yusuf, who made this assertion during the swearing in ceremony at the State government house, said in line with the constitution, the caretaker committee had a three-month tenure expiration period of which their performance would determine the next line of action.

He equally reminded them that the administration has zero tolerance for unruly behavior, warned the committee against bossy style of leadership, saying that the government will not hesitate to invoke sanctions where they are found wanting.
He however disclosed that, “the committee members were carefully selected and constituted,” adding that “we are determined to return the state onto the path of progress and prosperity. Local government councils have an important role to play in this journey.”
“You must embrace all and work hard to support our administration in fulfilling our campaign promises,” saying “you should be leaders prepared to exhibit exemplary conduct not bossy.”
According to him,”This administration has zero tolerance towards unbecoming behaviour.And we will maintain close vigilance on the conduct of each and everyone of you and will not hesitate to invoke sanction.
“In line with the constitution, your tenure is three months. And at the end of the three months and in conformity with your performance, will determine next line of action,”
