Member of the House of Representatives representing Chanchaga Federal Constituency of Niger State at the National Assembly in Abuja, on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Honorable Abubakar Audu Buba (aka Mallam Cashier), along with some elders of the party in Chanchaga Local Government Area of the State, flagged off the distribution of food items to all residents of the council, irrespective of party affiliations, including people living with disabilities, elders, and orphanage homes in the area, as palliatives promised by the federal government.
The federal lawmaker, during the distribution around the Brighter Schools junction near Sauka-Kahuta community of Minna, the capital of Niger State, said he has received 1,700 bags of 25kg rice as the first batch of the grains for distribution meant for Chanchaga Federal Constituency of the State, adding that other items were still being expected for distribution.
He further stated that the grains would be distributed to the 379 polling units of the council areas, ensuring that every resident of Chanchaga Local Government Council, in Niger State, irrespective of political party affiliations, benefits from the relief items through ward committees. This measure aims to ensure that the right people benefit from the relief items to cushion the effects of hunger and economic hardship faced by the citizens.
Honorable Audu Buba noted that this fulfills the promise made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu last October, emphasizing that other groups considered as beneficiaries include people living with disabilities such as the blind, the elderly, both male and female, orphanage homes, and the most vulnerable people in society within the council areas.

The federal legislator assured of inclusiveness in the distribution processes and emphasized fairness and equity, stating, “The government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing everything humanly possible to put an end to the current hardship and hunger being experienced by Nigerians.”
In his remarks, a PDP elder in Chanchaga Local Government Area of the State, who was also a former State Publicity Secretary of PDP, Alhaji Hassan Mohammed Saba, commended the National Assembly member, Honorable Abubakar Audu Buba (aka Mallam Cashier), for his fairness in the distribution of the palliatives, describing it as the first of its kind in Chanchaga Federal Constituency of the State in recent times for considering all stakeholders in the council areas in the distribution exercise.
