Igala Vanguard commends Senator Echocho’s N20m youth empowerment initiative

The Igala Vanguard has commended Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho, who represents Kogi East Senatorial District, for his commitment to empowering Kogi East youths through programs enabling them to contribute meaningfully to the state’s socio-economic development.

The commendation is coming following the recent donation of 20 million naira by the senator to support 20 young entrepreneurs and the distribution of 3000 bags of rice across the 9 local government areas constituting his constituents.

The leader of the group, Engr Lawrence Ankpa, disclosed this in a statement shared with journalists in Abuja on Monday night.

“Community impact-based projects and initiatives can only be achieved when we have individuals like Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho who truly care for the growth and development of their people.”

While appreciating Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho’s initiative, the statement emphasized that this act would significantly contribute to the financial independence of the various beneficiaries of the empowerment scheme.

The group also applauded the unbiased selection process of beneficiaries from across the 9 local government areas.

“Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho has proven himself to be a people-oriented public servant who continues to dedicate himself to moving his people forward,” Ankpa said.

Furthermore, Engr Ankpa urged the beneficiaries to ensure proper utilisation of the funds and not to see it as an opportunity for extravagant living.

The group also appealed to the Senator to ensure the continuation of the empowerment programs, describing it as having the potential to uplift many from poverty.

It also acknowledged the successful cash disbursement of Senator Jibrin’s empowerment programs before this 20 million naira disbursement.

Igala Vanguard appealed to the senator not to be distracted by unnecessary comparisons, highlighting his distinguished track record as an Executive Director of a bank.
