Misconduct: Bauchi civil service commission dismisses officer

Bauchi State Civil Service Commission (CSC) has dismissed one Hauwa Adamu Kardam, a chief production assistant at the state-owned Bauchi Radio Corporation (BRC) from the state service.

The officer was dismissed for serious misconduct that contravened the Bauchi State Public Service Regulations 0327 just as the Commission also terminated the appointment of Halima Umar, Chief Production Assistant of the same corporation for misconduct and being accessory before the fact.

The dismissal and termination of the officers’ appointments was deliberated during the commission’s 13th plenary session presented to the commission in the meeting by the Central Recruitment Agency of the Commission (CRA) held on Thursday, 18th April 2024 at its Conference Hall.

During the plenary session, the Commission lifted the suspension of 3 Officers of the Radio House with immediate effect.

The commission also approved the issue of warning to 3 officers from the programmes and production departments of the Radio House including the head of the corporation for dereliction of duty.

In the same vein, the commission approved the lifting of suspension to one of the staff of the state healthcare development agency and issued of letter of advice to the officer for contravention of the public service regulations.

In another development, the commission has promoted 47 officers and converted 3 others into various cadres at the Bauchi State Sanitation and Environmental Protection Agency (BASEPA).
