Chelsea is gearing up to make a substantial offer for Victor Osimhen, reportedly tabling £77 million alongside the inclusion of two players in what is being described as a “massive” bid.

Chelsea, one of the titans of the English Premier League, has opened discussions with Napoli in their quest to secure Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen ahead of the forthcoming summer transfer window.

According to reports from Di Marzio, Chelsea is ready to make a substantial financial offer to secure Osimhen’s services for the upcoming season. The proposed bid being discussed between the clubs is said to fall within the range of €80-90 million.

In addition to the monetary offer, Chelsea is reportedly willing to include Romelu Lukaku, who is currently on loan at Roma, as part of the deal, along with a promising young player.

However, Chelsea faces stiff competition from French champions Paris Saint-Germain in the pursuit of Osimhen’s signature. PSG is rumored to be ready to activate Osimhen’s release clause of €120 million and present the striker with an enticing four-year contract worth €13 million per season.

Despite Chelsea’s determined pursuit of Osimhen, the club’s financial limitations and the necessity to comply with the Premier League’s Profit & Sustainability Regulations (PSR) could pose significant hurdles. These regulatory constraints might compel Chelsea to reconsider their involvement in the race for the highly coveted striker.
