Mourinho was dismissed by United in December 2018, but it’s believed he maintains a positive relationship with United part-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe. However, whether this connection will be sufficient to secure him the job remains uncertain, especially after his recent sacking by AS Roma in January.
Despite Mourinho’s interest, the report suggests that United is unlikely to approach him, with the club hesitant to reappoint the 61-year-old at this juncture.
