Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has criticized midfielder Casemiro, branding him as ‘lazy’.
Rooney made these remarks while discussing Leandro Trossard’s goal in Arsenal’s 1-0 victory over Manchester United on Sunday evening.
“He’s clearly shown that he’s a midfielder and not a natural center-back,” Rooney commented in the Sky Sports studio.
“It might have been a bit naive. There’s no real angle for Onana to pass the ball to him. But then he has to step out, and it’s lazy. It’s lazy, he’s lazy.
“The rest of his teammates have stepped out, and they’ve been caught by it.
“And even when defending the space, he’s not aware of any players around him, and then Trossard comes in and scores an easy goal.”
