Kylian Mbappe breaks his silence for the first time since joining Real Madrid.

Kylian Mbappe expressed his joy and excitement after confirming his move to Real Madrid, describing it as a “dream come true.” The announcement of his transfer came after much anticipation, with the newly-crowned European champions sealing the deal as Mbappe’s Paris Saint-Germain contract comes to an end this month, putting an end to one of football’s most protracted transfer sagas.

Mbappe had previously opted to remain at PSG by signing a new contract instead of joining Madrid on a free transfer in 2022. However, he has now made the decision to fulfill his ambitions at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

Taking to social media to share his sentiments for the first time since the announcement, Mbappe expressed his elation at joining his dream club. “A dream come true,” he wrote. “So happy and proud to join the club of my dream. Nobody can understand how excited I am right now. Can’t wait to see you, Madridistas, and thanks for your unbelievable support. Hala Madrid!”

Leaving PSG after an illustrious seven-year spell, Mbappe departs as the club’s all-time leading scorer, with an impressive tally of 256 goals in just 308 matches. During his time at Parc des Princes, he contributed to the team’s success, winning a total of 15 trophies. However, despite his efforts, he was unable to secure the UEFA Champions League title for PSG.

In contrast, Real Madrid recently clinched their 15th Champions League title with a convincing 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in this season’s final at Wembley Stadium. The acquisition of Mbappe adds further firepower to a formidable squad, following the signings of David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger on pre-contract agreements as free agents.
