Report: Bayern Munich Sends Shockwaves Across Europe by Transfer-Listing Six Key Players

Bayern Munich has reportedly placed six players, including Joshua Kimmich and Matthijs de Ligt, on the transfer list in hopes of generating funds for new signings this summer.

The Bavarian club ended the 2023/24 season without securing any trophies and finished a disappointing third in the Bundesliga, with Bayer Leverkusen claiming the title and Stuttgart finishing second.

Following the departure of head coach Thomas Tuchel, Bayern has appointed Vincent Kompany as his replacement after an extensive search.

With attention now focused on squad rebuilding, Sky Sport Germany reports that Bayern is open to selling six players, including Kimmich, De Ligt, Leon Goretzka, Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry, and Noussair Mazraoui, if suitable offers are received.

Kimmich has been linked with several major European clubs, including Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Barcelona, in recent months, with his contract at the Allianz Arena expiring in 2025.

De Ligt and Goretzka have both been mentioned as targets for Manchester United over the past year, while reports from Spain suggest that Barcelona’s interest in Coman has intensified recently.

Gnabry, who joined Bayern as a teenager and then left the club in 2016, has long been rumored to return to Arsenal one day. Arsenal and Manchester United are also among the clubs linked with Mazraoui in the past.

In terms of new signings, Sky Sport Germany also reports that Bayern has renewed its interest in Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha and is prepared to spend up to €45m to secure his signature. Palhinha was on the verge of joining Bayern last summer before the deal collapsed on deadline day, despite him already being in Munich to finalize the contract.
