Former Bologna boss Thiago Motta has been appointed as the new head coach of Serie A giant Juventus, succeeding Massimiliano Allegri.
Juventus Football Club has officially announced Thiago Motta as their new head coach, following the dismissal of Massimiliano Allegri. According to Pulse Sports Nigeria, the 41-year-old has signed a three-year contract with Juventus, committing to lead the club until the summer of 2027.
The Serie A giants unveiled their new manager on Wednesday evening, with an official statement on their website:
“Juventus Football Club is delighted to announce Thiago Motta as the new First Team head coach.”
Motta’s Coaching Journey
Thiago Motta began his coaching career in 2018 with the youth team of Paris Saint-Germain, where he had concluded his playing career a few months earlier. His coaching journey in Italian football started at Genoa in 2019, followed by head coaching roles at Spezia and Bologna.
Last season, Motta led Bologna to a historic Champions League qualification, a remarkable achievement that has now secured him the top job at Juventus.
The Serie A giants hope that Motta’s tactical expertise and his ability to develop young talent will help the club regain their dominance in the Italian top flight and potentially challenge for European glory.
