Chelsea have announced the departures of Ian Maatsen and Hakim Ziyech from the club. The news came through separate statements on Friday via Chelsea’s website. Maatsen has joined Aston Villa on a permanent transfer, while Ziyech has moved to Galatasaray.
“Ian Maatsen has left Chelsea and completed a permanent transfer to Aston Villa,” read part of Chelsea’s statement. “We thank Ian for his efforts at Stamford Bridge and wish him well for the future.”
Regarding Ziyech, Chelsea stated, “Hakim Ziyech has completed a permanent transfer to Galatasaray. Ziyech initially joined the Turkish giants on loan last summer but has now departed Chelsea on a permanent basis. We thank Hakim for his contributions during his time at Chelsea and wish him success in his next career chapter.”
