Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has advised Declan Rice, an England midfielder, to minimize his touches on the ball during Euro 2024.
Scholes made these remarks ahead of England’s Round of 16 encounter against Slovakia on Sunday. In a post shared on his Instagram story, the former England international stated:
“Mainoo will make you play, Foden and Bellingham will win you games, think forward and take fewer touches please Dec. Laters [kissing emoji].”
England advanced to the Euro 2024 Round of 16 as Group C winners despite securing just five points from three matches.
