Napoli have officially announced the departure of six first-team players whose contracts are expiring this summer.
The departing players include Piotr Zielinski, Leander Dendoncker, Pierluigi Gollini, Hubert Idasiak, Diego Demme, and Hamed Traore.
In a statement on the club’s website, Napoli expressed gratitude to the players for their dedication and professionalism during their time with the club.
“We would like to thank each of them for their contributions to Napoli and wish them the best in their future endeavors,” the statement read.
All six players’ contracts will conclude on June 30, marking the end of their tenure with Napoli.
Dendoncker, Gollini, and Traore were on loan at Napoli and will return to their parent clubs: Aston Villa, Atalanta, and Bournemouth, respectively.
Zielinski, Idasiak, and Demme are now free agents and are eligible to negotiate with other clubs.
There are reports indicating that Zielinski is likely to join Serie A rivals Inter Milan on a free transfer.
With the appointment of new coach Antonio Conte, Napoli is preparing for a squad overhaul ahead of the 2024/25 season.
