He highlighted the urgent need to prioritize the establishment of State Police as a crucial step towards addressing insecurity in Nigeria.
He commended the leadership of the House of Representatives for their efforts in advancing legislation on this front and pledged support for this initiative.
Senator Sani also underscored the pressing issue of illicit firearms proliferation in Nigeria, noting that the Firearms Act requires revision to align with global best practices.
He pointed out that Nigeria hosts a significant portion of illicit arms in West Africa, highlighting the need for legislative action to curb this menace.
In addition to security concerns, Senator Sani urged the National Assembly to focus on tackling the challenges of out-of-school children, emphasizing that Nigeria currently holds the highest number globally.
