NAICOM restructures eight directorates, approves promotions

Governing Board of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has approved the updated organisational structure of the Commission designed to enhance its efficiency, effectiveness, and adaptability.

Also, it approved the promotion of five senior management staff to the position of Directors.

The Commission in a statement on Monday said, “This restructuring ensures that the organisational structure aligns with the Commission’s strategic goals and objectives, aiding the executive management in achieving its mandate”.

The new Directorate include Inspectorate; Supervision; Market Conduct & Complaint Bureau; Innovation and Regulation; Legal, Enforcement & Market Development; Human Resources & Administration; Finance & Accounts as well as

Technology, Strategy & Research.

Among the new directors is the former Head, Corporate Communications and Market Development, ‘Rasaq Salami, who now becomes the Director of Human Resources & Administration, which is one of the eight newly restructured Directorates in the Commission.

Mr Salami, a consummate Communications and Public Relations expert, was promoted alongside Ajibola Bankole, who was named Director in charge of Inspectorate Department; Ahmad Ibrahim Adam, Director (Innovation & Regulation);

Dr. Talmiz Usman, Director  (Legal, Enforcement & Market Development), and Kamaludeen Barde, Director (Finance & Accounts).

The elevations, which followed the promotion exercise conducted on March 27,  2024, were announced in an official statement on Monday in Abuja
