Over 2,000 LG staff to write promotion exam in Bauchi

No fewer than 2000 staff across the 20 LGAs of Bauchi State have been selected to participate in a 2-day sensitisation workshop organized by the Bauchi State Local Government Service Commission in collaboration with Dugge Management Services Limited preparatory to the 2023 promotion examination.

The disclosure was made during the opening of the exercise on Thursday held at the Multi-Purpose Indoor Sports Hall, Bauchi.

While addressing the participants, the Chairman of the Commission, Alh Abubakar Mohammed Wabi said that the workshop is committed to uplifting the State Local Government Service as well as human capital development.

Abubakar Wabi revealed that the sensitization workshop will prepare local government staff for the 2023 promotion examination which will be conducted after the exercise.

He urged the participants to be committed and pay the maximum attention needed throughout the workshop.

According to him, the State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulƙadir has granted five five-year waivers for the promotion of the local government staff, which according to him was a clear demonstration of the Governor towards uplifting civil service in the state.

Highlighting the overview of the training, the Chief Consultant, Dugge Management Services Limited, Alh Gambo Magaji charged the participants to be committed to learning Information and communication technology which according to him will take charge of everything in the nearest future.

In his remarks, the State Head of Civil Service, Alh Yahuza Adamu Ningi represented by Adamu Ibrahim Gambaki the Permanent Secretary, General Administration, charged the participants to take the opportunity with the utmost seriousness for them to pass the promotion examination successfully.
