Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has been sentenced for an incident dating back to December.
The 26-year-old striker has received a six-month driving ban and a fine after being caught driving his Rolls Royce at 104 MPH on the M60 in Manchester last year, well above the 70 MPH speed limit allowed for motorways, as reported by Sky Sports.
Rashford, known for his lucrative salary of approximately £300,000 per month at Manchester United, owns several fast cars. His penchant for speed was highlighted further when he crashed another luxury vehicle, a £700,000 Rolls Royce, near the club’s training ground in Carrington just three months before the speeding offence.
In that earlier incident, Rashford was involved in a collision, though thankfully no one was injured, and no ambulance was needed.
The court in Manchester imposed a six-month driving ban on Rashford for his reckless driving behaviour. Additionally, he was fined £1,666, ordered to pay £120 in court costs, and a £66 surcharge.
While Rashford has been enjoying his summer break, having not been part of Gareth Southgate’s England squad that reached the final of the European Championships, he has assured fans he is using this time to rest and prepare for the upcoming season, aiming to deliver improved performances compared to his last campaign.
