Minister of Women Affairs, Barrister Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, has lauded the successful completion of the Women Voice and Leadership Nigeria Project in Kwara state.
Speaking at the project’s close-out ceremony in Ilorin on Tuesday, the minister highlighted the key achievements and outcomes of the initiative, which aimed to amplify women’s voices and enhance their participation and visibility in leadership roles.
The project, supported by ActionAid Nigeria, was implemented in seven states, including Kwara.
The minister commended ActionAid Nigeria and its team for their commitment throughout the implementation period, which she said had significantly boosted women’s leadership across the participating states.
She also expressed gratitude for ActionAid Nigeria’s continued financial support for various programmes aimed at improving well-being of Nigerian women.
The minister emphasised the importance of sustaining the project’s achievements and lessons learned, urging ActionAid Nigeria to expand the initiative to other states in the country.
