First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu has encouraged Nigerian youths to be focused, believe in themselves, and dream big.
She made this call during a recent visit to the Yunus Emre Institute in Abuja, where she met with young artists and inspected their work.
The Institute, established by the Turkish Government, provides training in creative arts and cultural exchange between Nigeria and Turkey.
Remi Tinubu praised the Institute for providing opportunities for artists to actualize their dreams, emphasising the importance of perseverance and humility.
She advised the youths to believe in themselves, set their minds on creative things, and not despise humble beginnings.
“Believe in what you are doing and as long as you set your mind to it, you will succeed. Dream big, but do not despise the days of humble beginnings,” she said.
The First Lady also expressed delight at the level of creativity exhibited by the artists and encouraged them to express more positivity in their work.
She commended the Turkish Embassy for providing education to orphaned children and suggested that Turkish citizens in Nigeria should also learn Nigerian languages.
She thanked Turkish First Lady Emine Erdogan for inviting her to visit the Institute and for her presence at the recent OIC High-Level Seminar on Cancer Awareness in Nigeria.
