The former Jigawa state governor, Sule Lamido said that the People Democracy Party (PDP) wards congress is laying a new foundation by sanitising and purifying the party and its members for victory at all levels in 2027.

The former governor disclosed while fielding questions to newsmen at the Jigawa state Party’s (PDP) state secretariat in Dutse the state capital shortly after the PDP stakeholders meeting ahead of the Wards congress.

Lamido explained that “this time around all plans had been mapped out and strategy had put in place to elect and placed eminent members of the party in the leadership position who would work for the best interest part, members and society in general.

“Parts of the plans and strategy are the conditions put for any member to meet before he/she qualified to hold any office right from wards level to whatever position.

“The condition included one must be a card-carrying member, he/she has never been found of anti-party, and never convicted of any criminal offence.

“This is because at the fast the party was betrayed, the party materials were not properly distributed, the party’s funds were not given to agents during the 2023 elections was not properly and therefore people were trying to make the party their enterprises and industries, this we would not tolerate.

“That is why in trying to lay a new foundation for this party, we said look body who done anything wrong such as anti-party or who misappropriate the party fund would no be part of the party leadership.
