Australia forward Alanna Smith admitted that the Opals struggled against D’Tigress’s physicality in their 75-62 loss during their Group B match at the 2024 Olympic Games. Smith acknowledged that excessive turnovers were a major issue.
“Turning the ball over was the crux of the game,” she said. “We turned the ball over far too much and weren’t prepared to handle the physicality.”
