Few months before the conduct of the OSUN state local government elections, the state chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has opened a new Secretariat for effective operations that would enhance its chances at the poll.
The party which stated that its leadership has started embarking on a tour to all the local governments in the state to unveil their offices said, they would work round clock to bring the party closer to the people at the grassroots, thereby, easy for new members to register without stress of coming to the state capital.
The acting Secretary of the party, Adegbaju Celestina made these known at a press conference in Osogbo on Friday.
According to him, “the new secretariat is located inside King Square Building, Opposite Biket junction, Ikirun road in Osogbo and shall be unveiled at a date to be announced soon.”
The party scribe who argued that the party needs a more conducive secretariat due to the large number of people willing to join the party in the state, said their former Secretariat was too small to accommodate them again.
“As a result of this, we had no choice than to look for more spacious secretariat where members could be well comfortably okay.”
“The first council office will be unveiled is that of Obokun Local Government, located at Oke-Ese Street, beside Lapo Office, Ibokun”.
He however charged lovers of good governance in Osun state to join NNPP as it is the only hope for the masses.
