You lack moral justification to castigate Gov Bala, Group tells Dogara, Shehu Buba

A political pressure group, the Bauchi State Youths Democratic Assembly, has accused former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Barr Yakubu Dogara, and Senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, Shehu Umar Buba, of being envious of the achievements of Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir.

The group claimed that this envy is the driving force behind their recent criticisms of the Governor.

Addressing journalists on Sunday, the group’s leaders, Danjuma Zakka Arewa and Daure David, condemned the public statements made by Dogara and Buba.

They argued that both politicians lack the moral authority to criticize Governor Mohammed, highlighting that their outbursts reveal their frustration with the Governor’s progress in the state.

“We are compelled to respond to the scathing attack launched by Yakubu Dogara and Shehu Buba Umar against Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed (Kauran Bauchi).

Their vitriolic outburst is a clear indication of their desperation and frustration with the progress being made in Bauchi State under Governor Mohammed’s leadership,” the group stated.

The group praised Governor Mohammed for his significant contributions to the development of Bauchi State, including the construction of roads across all 20 local government areas, the revamping of the health and education sectors, and the implementation of youth-oriented programs such as skills acquisition and empowerment initiatives.

They emphasized that these achievements are a testament to Governor Mohammed’s visionary leadership and dedication to the people of Bauchi State.

In contrast, the group criticized Dogara for what they described as falsehoods and personal attacks, arguing that he lacks an understanding of governance and leadership.

They also labeled Dogara’s criticism of the Governor’s leadership style as hypocritical, given his own record as Speaker of the House of Representatives, which they claimed was marred by inefficiency and corruption.

Regarding Senator Shehu Buba Umar, the group accused him of failing to bring significant projects to his constituency and of being disconnected from the struggles of the people.

They highlighted his support for policies that would have further burdened the populace, such as proposed increases in electricity tariffs and bank electronic charges.

The group concluded by expressing confidence that the people of Bauchi State will continue to support Governor Mohammed, dismissing the criticisms from Dogara and Shehu Buba as baseless.

They challenged both politicians to test their popularity in the upcoming local government elections on August 17th, 2024, asserting that the electorate will reject their “deceitful tactics” and choose leaders who truly represent their interests.
