Primate Ayodele: Osimhen Won’t Succeed at Chelsea

Primate Ayodele has predicted that Victor Osimhen would struggle to succeed if he were to join Chelsea. According to Ayodele, the Nigerian striker’s talents may not reach their full potential at the London club.

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the well-known prophet and founder of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has advised Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen to reject any potential move to Chelsea. In a 44-second video shared on social media, Ayodele warned that joining the London club would be detrimental to Osimhen’s career.

“I want to strongly advise Osimhen not to go to Chelsea because if he does, he won’t shine, and it will harm his career,” Ayodele said. “NFF, if Osimhen goes to Chelsea, don’t call him up again, and even considering him for the Super Eagles needs to be thoroughly reviewed because we have what it takes to win the World Cup and Nations Cup.”

This isn’t the first time Primate Ayodele has made predictions about Chelsea. In 2023, he also claimed that the English Premier League club was cursed and in need of spiritual cleansing.

“Chelsea is a finished club. If they don’t take action, they will cease to function. The new owners should seek blessings from the former owner. Otherwise, even if they sign the best players in the world, a curse is currently plaguing Chelsea. I’ve warned you to take these words seriously if you want to progress; otherwise, Chelsea could face relegation,” he said. “Any team playing against Chelsea now can beat them; they need spiritual cleansing to overcome the challenges ahead.”

Chelsea is currently in search of a striker capable of delivering consistent goals and is eager to sign the Nigerian international after a deal for Atletico Madrid’s Samuel Omorodion fell through. Osimhen, 25, has become one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe, with links to Chelsea, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, and Liverpool, following his stellar performances with Napoli.

However, his steep €130 million price tag has deterred most suitors, with only Chelsea remaining keen on securing his services. As the transfer window draws to a close, Napoli is working diligently to finalize the Nigerian striker’s transfer, and with Chelsea still interested, Osimhen appears to be on the brink of a move to Stamford Bridge.
