Journalist reports on the outcome of Chelsea’s latest discussions with Napoli regarding Victor Osimhen.

According to Chelsea News, Chelsea has been exploring a transfer for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, while Napoli is interested in signing Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea. Discussions between the two clubs regarding these transfers have been ongoing for several weeks but recently paused.

A new meeting between Chelsea and Napoli is scheduled for this week to review the progress of these deals, which involve Lukaku moving to Napoli and Osimhen joining Chelsea. Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italy, who reported on the upcoming meetings, noted that recent discussions have yet to produce a definitive outcome.

Di Marzio also mentioned that Chelsea is open to lowering their asking price for Lukaku after a meeting on Wednesday. However, Chelsea needs to present a satisfactory offer to both Napoli and Osimhen for the deal to move forward.

The transfer remains unresolved following the latest discussions, with further talks anticipated. Chelsea is eager to offload Lukaku, and Napoli is keen to acquire him, raising the possibility that Osimhen might be left out of the deal, with Napoli focusing solely on signing Lukaku.
